Life View Verde Valley Ancient Ruin Native Tour:    Long before the Verde Valley was named by Spanish explorers in 1583, highly skilled Native peoples were carving a civilization out of its rugged terrain, green with flowing rivers, creeks, and springs--a gorgeous contrast to the rest of Arizona.  Set high in the sheer cliffs, Montezuma's Castle, a five-story, 20-room structure has remained impervious to the elements for over 800 years. The structure itself is a marvel of architecture.   This ancient housing is considered one of the best preserved historic ruins in the United States.  Montezuma’s Castle is not a castle, and Montezuma never lived there. Long before Montezuma was even born, a people – called “Sinaqua” by the Spanish explorers, migrated to the valley and began building villages of cliff-side dwellings about 1150.  Montezuma’s Well continues to be a gathering place for the scientifically, as well as spiritually, minded.  One of the world's most intriguing natural mysteries, Montezuma's Well is a wide and deep limestone sinkhole, filled with warm, 76° F waters. Due to an unusually high amount of carbon in the water, it provides a unique ecosystem, and is home to forms of life which exist nowhere else on the planet. The sacredness of the Well continues to be revered for healing today.  Other locations of interest include and Tutzigoot, a three-story Sinagua pueblo dating back to A.D. 1000 and the V Bar V Ranch, where you have the opportunity to view perhaps the largest petroglyph site of the entire Verde Valley

$138.00 per person – 2 person minimum / 3 person maximum – Lunch not included - Allow 5 hrs. roundtrip

The cliff dwellings of Walnut Canyon are also breathtaking and accessible.

Life View – The Grand Canyon – A Native View:   Humans have lived in or near the Grand Canyon for at least 4000 years. Native peoples occupied the caves and rock shelters of the canyon walls, leaving behind rock shrines and hundreds of split twig figurines that were probably used in ceremonies or as hunting talismans. Departing from Luna Vista, travel up Sedona’s Scenic Drive - Oak Creek Canyon at an elevation of 4800 feet to Flagstaff at an elevation of over 7000 feet.  From Flagstaff venture on to the Grand Canyon by way of the Navajo Reservation, where you will stop for lunch and visit with Native artisans in their workshop and home environments.  Travel onward via the Little Colorado Gorge, learning about several Native points of interest, including the Painted Desert, to the Grand Canyon.  Observe the Canyon from various angles and points with many picture taking opportunities off the beaten path without the crowds.

$205.00 per person – 2 person minimum / 3 person maximum - Lunch included - Allow 14 hrs. roundtrip.
